Mythic Wants You Back!
Anyone who left the game a 3-6 months back know that WAR needed some work. But we must remember the behemoth WOTLK was coming out as well. I believe that played a huge part in taking a few hundred thousand players away from WAR. Now that WOTLK has been out for a while and players are getting finishing up their raids and PvE, it is now time to start enjoying real pvp with massive battles and ugly orcs.
Mythic has created a Call to Arms Campaign which is aimed at gaining back players and rewarding them with bonuses. If you reactiviate your account you will receive 10 free days of gameplay. Also note the following changes andimprovements to the game since launch:

“Call to Arms, our first live expansion, has officially begun and will introduce an incredible array of new content to the game, including two highly anticipated new careers – the head bashin’ Orc Choppa and the oath-sworn Dwarf Slayer – and a new dungeon zone called Land of the Dead, set in the desert realm of the Tomb Kings.
The Call to Arms live expansion, set to roll out for free over the next few months, will also include three in-game live events, a sneak peek at a new RvR Scenario, an upgrade to the Recruit-A-Friend program, added functionality to the Realm Wars section of the WAR website, the opening of the official WAR Forums, and a new free trial version of the game.
Besides getting 10 free days starting when you reactivate your account, you’ll also get all the rested experience for the time you’ve been gone, and a unique quest chain with bonus reward items!”
